Source Maps For Berjanes, Steinar, 2010 Valcano

The original map was to large to post here so I cropped the section we are interested in (red outline) and enlarged for clarity. This map shows the location of the Berjanes farm and the Steinar village (farm), lower left red dots. It also shows the location of the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull Volcano eruption, large red dot upper right. The eruption vent is about 9.5 miles from Berjanes farm.

The map below clearly shows the location of the Berjanes Farm and the Steinar town (village). There are red dots above each location. Note that there are two Berjanes shown on this map. (Berjanes) might refer to an area or an extension of the farm. ?? - More research needed. Using the scale on the original map the distance between Berjanes and Steinar is about 1.27 miles. One account refers to Steinar as a settlement with a filling station. All the maps place Steinar on the Ring road. Because Steinar is listed as a parish we can assume that there is a Parish Church at Steinar.
