Source: The image is scanned from the Icelandic yearly Blik which was published in Vestmannaeyjar 1936-1980. A print with this image was acquired in Copenhagen by Icelander Sigurgeir Sigurjónsson and given to Þorsteinn Víglundsson, editor of Blik. The image appeared in the magazine 1959, 1969 and 1980. The 1969 edition contains a description of how it was acquired and its origins. The scan was made by unknown for the website Heimaslóð on the history, culture and people of Vestmannaeyjar. The author of this illustration died more than 70 years ago, and this image is consequently in the Public Domain.
